Cherished Present
This was a present given to me on my 18th birthday. A gift that made me know the importance of life and how I must work hard to achieve what is important in life.
A brief description on how the layouts of the present looks like would be it is a simple box with 2 ball point pen with the colours red and blue. Both pen have my name engraved on it.
Perspective view will show how the casing will look like in a 3 dimension form.
The front view shows one of the sides of the box.
The side view also shows the side of the box.
Lastly, the plan view shows the content of the box and also the interior of the box.

SJ 10 - Initial concept
Concepts
Before choosing a concept for a tower, I have to understand more about my character. Therefore, I did a bit of research about who my character really is, and what are his personalities.

Understanding of my character
After I understand about my character, I chose the word 'strategic' as a concept. This is because my character have this value in him that makes him known for and I will use this word to make a tower that suits him.
For the tower, I will apply Japanese elements in the building as the art of ninja comes from Japan. The inspiration of the tower comes from the idea of a bamboo tree covered with shurikens that were threw towards a certain point. Finally, those research materials were used to finalize the structure of my viewing tower for my character, Shikamaru.

SJ 9 - 3 postcards
Georgetown, Penang
We traveled around penang for a field trip for our course. It was a great place to see as all the colonial buildings from the past are preserved very nicely.

These are some of the pictures sketched out from the places that I find interesting and eye netting.

SJ 8 - Proposed location for tower
Proposed Location
I felt that this tower should blend in with the surrounding, and I wanted it to look similar to one of the elements on site. The tree that grew horizontally was the most distinctive element that I could find on my site, and I chose to use that to my advantage.
To place my tower on the tree itself, I must first understand a few things about my site as well before continuing this project. I took a bit of information from the previous site analysis to help me understand a bit more about my chosen location.

SJ 05 - Plan of Site
SJ 05
After measuring and drawing out the site, we need to be more observant about our surroundings with all the minor details around it.
- The first thumbnail on the top left of the picture is emphasizing on the bottom part of the lamp post. The lamp post is screwed to concrete slab to ensure the safety of pedestrians.
- The topology (top right and left) is elevated a bit and the stairs are at the same elevation of the land.
Students were given the liberty to choose any place in campus to measure and draw a proper plan view of the chosen location.
One objective of this exercise is for us students to practise drawing, measuring, and be more observant.

For this, we were assigned to form a group of 5 first and measure our location.
We decided to take a site near the lake where there is a change in topology.

In our site, I had notice that there are a few small details that are present with their specific functions.
5.5 Thumbnails
- The cone shaped cement (bottom left) is used support the chains to make a border between the lake and the concrete slab we were standing on.
- A cover (bottom) is placed to cover the sewage system which it can fit one man.- The topology (top right and left) is elevated a bit and the stairs are at the same elevation of the land.
