SJ 05 - Plan of Site

SJ 05

Students were given the liberty to choose any place in campus to measure and draw a proper plan view of the chosen location.
One objective of this exercise is for us students to practise drawing, measuring, and be more observant.
For this, we were assigned to form a group of 5 first and measure our location.
We decided to take a site near the lake where there is a change in topology.

5.1 Site Chosen

5.2 Measurements of site

5.3 Plan of Site (Scale 1:50)

5.4 Perspective of site

After measuring and drawing out the site, we need to be more observant about our surroundings with all the minor details around it.
In our site, I had notice that there are a few small details that are present with their specific functions.

 5.5 Thumbnails

 - The first thumbnail on the top left of the picture is emphasizing on  the bottom part of the lamp post. The lamp post is screwed to concrete slab to ensure the safety of pedestrians.
 - The cone shaped cement (bottom left) is used support the chains to make a border between the lake and the concrete slab we were standing on.
 - A cover (bottom) is placed to cover the sewage system which it can fit one man.
 - The topology (top right and left) is elevated a bit and the stairs are at the same elevation of the land.
